Web Service Changes for Zone 5

Effective September 2, 2011, the internet domain acr-optimist.org has been disabled and the website www.acr-optimist.org has been taken off-line.

Retired Alberta Capital Region Optimists (Zone 5) website

After careful review of the website log files, it was evident that there have been no visitors to that website in about a year.  What does this mean:

• The primary website for Zone 5 will be this blog.  The website link has been changed to zone5.amsnwoptimist.org.  
• St. Albert Breakfast Optimists website has been changed to stalbertbreakfast.amsnwoptimist.org.

Please check your club websites and adjust the links to the Zone website accordingly.

We have undertaken some recent modifications to this blog to enhance it and include information from the District "OptiNews" blog and the "Put Your Club Online" blog.  Over the next week, we will transition any of the critical information from the old website to our new website/blog.

We want to pay tribute to the original Zone 5 website.  Much of the design work and content was used again in the development of the current District website when Past Governor Darryl Sim asked Opt Gord Welling to take on the appointment as District Web Services Chair.
